Associations and Accreditations
While dentures were once a popular option for patients who are missing teeth, there are other replacement solutions available that may be a better fit for your smile. Dental implants, for example, are a natural-looking and durable solution that can provide you with years of support for your replacement teeth. Multiple tooth replacements at Dental Masters
are done with dental implants, and our team would be happy to talk with you about this restorative option during a consultation.
Dental implants are made up of three parts: the titanium post that is placed in your jawbone, the abutment that connects the post to your replacement tooth, and the
dental crown that covers the abutment. These three parts work together to provide you with a stable support system for your new teeth. The titanium post is placed in your jawbone through a surgical procedure, and it will eventually fuse to the bone over time. This process, known as osseointegration, gives dental implants their strength and stability.
The abutment is placed on top of the post after it has healed, and it will serve as the connector between the post and your dental crown. The abutment is typically made from metal or ceramic, and it can be placed either above or below the gum line. Your dentist will work with you to determine which placement option is best for you based on your individual needs.
The final step in the dental implant process is the placement of your dental crown. Your crown will be made to match your natural teeth in both color and shape, and it will be placed over the abutment. Once in place, your dental crown will fully restore your smile.
Once your dental implants are in place, it is important to take care of them. Multiple tooth replacements take time to heal, and it is important to follow your dentist’s instructions during the healing process. Additionally, you should brush and floss your teeth regularly, and you should see your dentist for regular checkups. By taking care of your dental implants, you can ensure that they last for many years to come.
If you are missing multiple teeth, dental implants may be the right solution for you.

"I’ve been going to Dental Masters of Alexandria for years and a patient of Dr. Laviola since he started practicing here. He’s very personable, knowledgeable, takes time to explain procedures (I’ve had quite a few!) and is just an amazing dentist. The entire staff is wonderful, always helpful and friendly. Highly recommend!"

"I have been a patient of Dr. Laviola's for several years now, and this is the best dental practice I have ever been to. Dr. Laviola and the whole team takes extraordinary care to make sure you are always comfortable throughout any cleaning and procedure, both major and minor (I have had both). The entire support team is also great."
